A girlfriend and I ambled down the dark, silent empty streets of Sausalito. It was too late to go to Poggio’s. All of the tourists had gone home. The diners had emptied from the restaurants and went home. There was no movement anywhere to be seen. We approached the doors of No Name and threw them open. Bursting out was the sound of a live funk band, a crowded dance floor, and the sound of voices and glasses clinking. It was like discovering a speakeasy. The name, “No Name” is fitting. Often it is the only place to go for music and people after 10:00 in Southern marin.
